ARH

Makes a bit of a mockery of the slogan 'make America great again'....

Given that the US is their biggest market, a decision to do that could backfire on Harley and Indian might sell some more bikes !

What self-respecting "Harley" owner is going to want a Harley if it's no longer an "American Bike"?

(It is, after all, all about perception).
Ottomans: 'Hippity hoppity, Vienna's our property"
...and then the Winged Hussars arrived.

OK, so AU is a mall market but other countries may be similar......

Harley are reasonably popular with Austrian bike buyers.
So are cruisers in general.
So are LAM's (learner) bikes.

The Harley XG500cc "Street 500" came 2nd from top in all 3 class's.

The Australian version on sale here is manufactured in Bawal in India.

If that many folk are buying them as learner bikes I'm guessing a good % aren't going to turn their nose up at a big twin that's not built in the US either.

"Trump warned Harley-Davidson that any shift in production "will be the beginning of the end".
"The Aura will be gone and they will be taxed like never before!" Trump said in one of several tweets on Tuesday. He was referring to tariffs Harley-Davidson would face on motorcycles produced overseas and shipped back to the US for sale."
