Another timber post, another 2 bags of Rapid Set, a gate latch, and $40 worth of fuel for the mower. Slow progress but slowly getting there....

Nice day today. Grounds still a bit wet but at least it's stopped raining.  If we have another couple of days like this I'll see when they are going to cut turf again and go back to that (more important) job.

Today bought nothing. sold a car. Happy with that result.

I just bought a selection box of solderbutts, for those days when you need to extend some wiring.

Couple more plants.
That's about 75 I think.

Yeah, a bit exposed where I am and we do get winds, I'm planting a lot of Grey Gums and Tallowwoods for the Koalas so I'm hoping they will work as a windbreak.

Another 40m of turf.  Slow progress but chipping away at it.

Solderbutts came today

I fitted the aftermarket dash to my 14 several years ago using those screw together electrical connections to connect it to the plug from my smashed clocks, screw together was fine to make sure everything was correct and worked for a test ride.

That was several years ago.

I might have to invest in some too !  :embarrassed:

Never used solderbutts. Do they self solder and shrink insulation just by heating? Do they still need crimping first?

I've got an identical solder butt kit sat in the shed. Probably tempting fate saying this, but I bought them a few years ago now and still havent needed to use one :rofl2:

@grog

I used to use them for soldering the capillary tube when working on refrigeration. Very good they were too.

You heat them up and they shrink and solder all in one go. No need to crimp first.
