Hi Grog,
This is what I got off eBay having been recommended on-line. Works great, easy to use and seems accurate. Only had it 2 months so can't vouch for its long term reliability.

I got an analogue one from halfords (car parts store here). Doesn't really matter if it's accurate if it's readings are repeatable. Once you find pressures on that gauge that work for you then stick to them.

Thanks Phill, have seen same under many diff brand names. I was searching last night, which to buy. I ended up buying a sofa bed for $500. Just got distracted.  :)

Got to love Facebook Marketplace.

So I'm scrolling around and set it to within 2km of local and found a tube of barely used Autosol for $5! Then I checked his other listings and bought all this (including the yoga mat for the doggo) for $20! All are full or barely used.

Result.

P.S. Don't worry, none of it is for my chain.

Nearly 60 bucks stuff for 20, well done.

Offsets the chain clean and lube I bought which I was speared for...lol Might even try one of those sit ups again. Tried one a few years ago - did nothing. Maybe I did it wrong. I'll try one again tonight and in the morning if I don't see any change I'll chuck it at me dogg.

It's an exercise people do on yoga mats. I tried it once.

No it's not, it's what you do when you hear a cop siren, can't see that mat being of any help

KiwiCol

Use it to cover yer head & hide from the cop?
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

Funny thing but as I was stepping on it I noticed how soft it was and had to wonder if it'd make a good sitting platform to help with numb bum. Not sure how I'd apply it but I'm really tempted to cut a seat sized pad and securing it to my seat and going for an hour long ride to see how it feels.

I could always go and get fitted for a sheep skin cover and shove it under that. The puzzle I'm having trouble with is is it a problem with the seat design (my seat is in excellent condition) or is it that I have ridden for decades and I'll eventualky grow a tougher rump and get used to it?

If yoga mat works to help me ride longer might be best $3 I've ever spent!

I had exactly the same problem and tried an air seat, Gel pad and sheepskin on their own and in combination, as you`re heavy, like me I would bet my balls that the original foam is just too soft for you and I found that whatever I put on top just got squished up and added to the discomfort, having mine redone in the firmest foam available transformed it into something I can comfortably do 2 hour stints on now, as I`m 6,4 with dodgey knees I had it raised 2" at the same time and it is now the most comfortable bike I`ve owned,  or in fact ridden

Interesting. Makes sense. I wonder if I do that can I keep my original seat cover or is it all glued together with the foam? Seems a shame to ruin a perfectly good seat but being a rhinocerous arse I'm going to have to do something because mentally I could ride all day and all night but in reality it's a maximum of 30-45 minutes and I need to get off and sit on something else to give my rump a break. I also really like the paneled design and I can imagine if I ask them to replicate it I'd be charged an arm and a leg. I keep looking at those French seats but at $750 (plus shipping I presume) it's not an impulse buy.

foam can be replaced without needing a new cover, I enquired about that first, but decided to add the extra height while I was at it
