thanks Shanered, way im leaning. i like apple, never had a prob. bluetooth printer, bluetooth keyboard for wife, should work fine. 4 grandkids have minis, work well.

Apple are expensive to buy but you get what you pay for !!.... i had 3 laptops for the buisness and all only lasted a year to 18 months before usless the ipad ran for 4 years and i still have it (6 years old now)a tad slower now but i keep it for my tax records , i use a MacBook pro now had it 3 years and it works as good as the day i bought it i recon between the two i would have had 5 or 6 laptops by now and spent a fortune on security !

I haven't had a traditional desk top or lap top computer in years.
I have a iPhone and IPad. Works out fine or me.

I'm not a huge fan of computers but have grown to like iTunes, talking books, a couple of bike forums, and I'm a regular user of the weather radar. I can do this just fine.

I'm not that clue'd up on computers, so a genuine question would be, what am I missing out on and what would a laptop or desktop do better?

I am a desktop guy. You miss out on a large screen and a comfy keyboard/mouse. Don't have to worry about keeping the battery charged.

I have an old mobile phone just for emergencies. Some day I'll get a mobile for seniors with big keys

Blubber

I just bought huge amounts of beer today.

2 six-packs of 33cl Heineken for €5.16.

Why?.....Tomorrow... They are organising a annual horse race.. Track passes Only 5meters away from my front door....perfect view on start and finish... Betting office is round the corner.

Any excuse to start recreational beer consuming at 13.00u will do

Sweaty

😊Yes Col, definately bought by the case down here (24 x 375ml bottles) and usually a few cases at a time, so you don't run out.

Blubber can't buy more beer at one time because it would all freeze before he could drink it.
Sure he meant Reindeer racing not Horses  :stir:
