Today i fixed my wooden door to my shed. Not amazing you say, is for me. Fixing wooden things, building etc, would be better at disarming nuclear bomb. I can fix cars/ bikes, weld, electrics no drama. Build motors, Auto Transmissions, all those things. So, anyway, it now closes, latch works and even locks. So proud of myself. Wife cant believe i did it, usually get carpenter from next door. Tomorrow ill do something easy, build a Ferrari motor, extract 200 hp from a GSX motor. Wooden doors, just too hard. 😂

Nice, but wait until summer, sweaty arm pits Brisbane, you can have it.
I'm not coming back in a hurry so work that one out for yourself.  :)

40 years in the UK, 15 in Brisbane.
I've worked outdoors for the last 15 years here and love it!
I'm planning to move again when I finish this house but it sure as hell won't be back to the UK. Every time I visit I just feel sad and the way it's changed and at the prices!
We all have different wants and needs but I'd be gutted at having to live in the UK again.

Half my life here the other half there, the exception is I can go back and forward as I please and have done for about the last ten years. Helps when you have considerable interests on both sides of the planet.  :)

Same here Irish.

Dual nationality and two passports, two driving licences etc.

15 years between the two, although I'm a lot less motivated to do the trip nowadays.

I combined the last UK trip with the MotoGP, Hill Climb etc.
Next one might be timed to match Macau on the way or the NW200 or similar.

I have to say what does piss me off about Australia is the fact that I have been in the UK for approx. 15 months period. Just did my tax return in Oz and had to pay tax even though I'm not living there that financial year ffs. And the majority of that goes to propping up Queensland.  :stir:

You should turn off your notifications on your phone or computer then you won't have to get up so early in the morning or should I say in the middle of the night.

Same. I get up between 4.00 & 4.30am during the week, makes a sleep in hard on a weekend though, 6.30 wake up & ya feel late.

I like early starts.

My alarms are set for 3:15am, plenty of time to feed the hens, have a 2nd coffee, take the dog out before I leave home at 4:30am. I work 5:30am to 2pm so if I use the Gateway toll bridge I'm home by 2:30pm every day.

Time to work on house, go for a ride, visit bike shops etc.

Only a door your lucky, I have a complete timber shed to build with doors and windows. The windows won't be timber I'll use glass.

I get up whenever I can during the week and weekends.

The initial attraction to motorcycling inflicts people for various reasons and at different stages in their lives. But once someone experiences the elation of riding a motorcycle there's no denying the nearly spiritual effect it has.

Irish, thanks for propping up Qld. Guess youre the reason my wife, after working her whole life gets $130 per fortnight. Without you would be zero. Oz just gave 500 mill to island states, not enough they said. Look after our own , not this country.
