We all want our kids to do better than us,     so they have plenty to look after us poor old buggers when we retire . . .
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

well done to her Tony. tell her us old scum bag bikers wish her well.

Irish in Oz

Went motorcycle shopping with her indoors this morning, to a couple of local dealers.
Seen these two nice Oldies in the same shop. And then the missus spotted a nice FJR with 8,000 on the clock.

much better suzi, im guessing around a 73 model, mine was 1968 hustler, same mechanicals. could ride the redline all day, amazing bike. that yam is much faster, have ridden a few. would still choose 250 ,i once rode mine thru a creek with water over crankcase, never missed a beat.

Grog, The GT is a 76, i UK was an A model that one is actually an M (canadian/US) I can tell by the colour ad reflectors.
Well the Yam is watercooled so it should go through creeks ;).
I have a 66 and 69 Hustler and an X7 had an LC350 until a few years back but let it go after I blew it to pieces. Yam is a far superior bike but it did come out a couple of years later.

T250

Think you'll find that's an "A" model, up to the "M"s they had the ram air on the head. The Hustler was before the ram air models and the engine looked very similar to the "A"s (I had a 72 Hustler T250...strange that )

Absolutely right T250. It is an A but don't remember many in red, only silver blue and gold. I had a 380 in same colour was an M. You had a J Hustler a mate of mine has a nice one will find the pic.

Here you go. Difference in cylinder head was fin size and a big difference in gearing if I remember between first and second. Don't say anything about the pipes, nice bike 100 percent running mechanically.

That's the same one I started out with Jeff, T250, blue & same heads.  Original exhausts on mine though.    Did lots of miles on that machine, sold it for a CB350 with 2 into 1 exhaust, did lots of miles on that too . . .
That'd be about 45 years ago!    I'm getting to be an old bugger!

Only Honda with 2 into 1 from that era I remember was the CJ250T like a mini 750 F1 about 1977.
But my memory is as good as it used to be in the seventies.

T250

My Hustler was in the green and silver scheme, with a tiny headlight, I always remember the rubber mounted bars with a steering damper, mine also had a different back light, the one above seems to have a GT rear light. A mate at the time had the quite rare 350 twin...ah good ole days  :onya:

ARH

Irish... I think you are right...most hondas of that era were twin exhausts... I had CJ250T for a while..put a Polaris fairing and panniers on it and racked up 25k miles on it (unheard of in those days!) until some scrote stole it from outside my flat.... next one was a 400 dream with a yoshi exhaust...what a sound when I wound that up!  Memories memories  :happy1:

It was an aftermarket 2 into 1 Jeff.   Bit like the bazooka on the K5+ 14's.
