ECU
Is the ECU tied to the specific key/lock combination or is it just getting a confirmation signal that the key is correct for the lock.  I want to know if I can substitute my ECU with another.  Anyone with two bikes know, or could they check?
I have a K7 so would need a K5 on.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

How old is your 14? Do you have an immobilizer? Older type ECU:s without immobilizer can be changed.

You need to have the key to match the ecu.
You can get keys decoded by Suzuki I only had 1 key for my black/red bike and a blank key had it cut and recoded and all was good.
I've never tried swooping ecu's but we have a couple so will give it a go and report back after the weekend .
only a slightly modified gsx1400
oh and a standard one too
