My Last Big Ride in Oz for a While.

A great long  weekend with Snapey and Sweaty, 4 days of the Snowny Mountains and Victorian Alps.

What are those red poles?

Guide poles - marking the edge of the road.
Orange because white ones don't show up against the snow.
Most roads above the winter snow line have them - not all as tall as that!

Oh I thought that given they seem to have an orange light on top they might be to mark out a helicopter landing area or something.

Oh I'm sure they will been in and out often enough, maybe next MCR we will get a run out on the bikes together

That would be great mate,  , I've just booked a room at down town Timber Town. It's a good motel I've stayed there before.

You'll notice there are only three 14's and no other bikes from the group in a lot of those photo's. That's because of me having an episode I hope I never have again while riding. Irish and Sweaty refused to abandon me, so for three days instead of blasting through the hills with the group they baby sat me and rode at 20 to 30kph because I couldn't go any faster.

I know it's what mates do but I can't thank you two enough for what you did. Jeff and Steve ... luv ya both.

Enjoy, I won't be there but try to go on the Saturday Ride instead of the Massage Parlour.
