Immobiliser problem?

Hoping you guys can help me out with a weird issue.

I have put my bike back together today after sorting out the front end - rechromed stanchions, vapour blasted sliders and engine cases, lots of other lovely things, etc. etc.

Problem is I can't start it. When I turn the ignition on the dials go round their normal startup sweep, then the display says "CHEC". The engine will turn over but it doesn't sound like it's firing and there is no smell of unburned petrol even after a a lot of cranking.

The FI light doesn't come on, but the immobiliser light doesn't flash at all - it just stays on solid red. It's a K5 model, single Yoshi pipe.

Any suggestions for what to do next?

If you are going to run out of fuel, do it in your garage.

It's only a short walk to the kettle.

How do I check that?

I think the clutch and sidestand switches are OK because the engine turns over (but only when I pull the clutch in).

You need to contact your local Suzuki dealer about the recall .
I don't know how you can check the ariel it's self but you can check all the connections for it .

Problem solved chaps!

I had a connection problem in the headlight shell. All good now, starts on the button as she should.

Gotta say, that headlight bucket is a total butt pain to get routed correctly.

Thanks for your kind suggestions.
