Further update, my poor aunty has wandered Sterling (Scotland) poor bugger is 89 years old. Libraries, travel agents, etc all to no avail.

Do any of our Scottish members know where she might find a fax?  ???

Lil...there's a high probability she might find one in a solicitors office.... hope that helps!

Now that's a thought, they are always out to make a quick buck too! Will ring a few in the morning.
If you are going to run out of fuel, do it in your garage.

It's only a short walk to the kettle.

Tried that one, but the bank insist it is a traditional fax, - Efax will be  rejected, spoke to the library and they scan documents and Efax them. I have someone phoning a couple of Solicitors this  afternoon so we will see how that goes.

Internet banking that needs a fax? I am surprised they don't ask for a Telegram!

The whole idea of setting up the internet banking whilst in Auz. Was to use an FX company to transfer funds when the USD was high/£ low. My wife attending the bank in Auz to make sure our Aunty could do this from home in Scotland. She double checked with the bank that it was all ok and they said yes.

My frustration (as I am trying to help her over the phone) is it says online "you need to register a mobile phone to receive a code, call this number to register you number" when you call, you wait forever on a premium line, for them to eventually tell you they will e-mail instructions about what to fax them..... :smiley sign0181: :smiley sign0181:

The whole idea is clear and the failure of the bank to get this set up in a customer friendly way is also clear.

But now the focus is on getting the online banking finally set up and how this can be accomplished.
