Used to be theyd say v twin or nothing. Now its how good v4 is. Honda been doing it forever, we know how good 4 cyls are. Am i missing something? Saying it has so many electronics its hard to fall off it. It fell pver on stand at bike show in november. Your thoughts

Nah, you're not missing anything. While Duc made v twins, that's what was best according to your mates, now they make V4, that's whats best. Not a lot of actual thought or objectivity going into it, just brand loyalty.   Which is fair enough if that's what they like, but shouldn't be myopic about 1 brand.

And as for electrics, no matter how many or what they are, if you're on a lean on pebbles / loose shit, aint no amount of electric gizmos will overcome gravity once you're wheels slide out from under you.  IMO.

i agree Col. myopic, ill mention that word next time. ill sound like a genius. this time last year, Australia day, wed just come home. was the day i tipped us both off the bike turning on bush track. totally destroyed my riding confidence for a while. was annoyed JA, my wife, was more injured than me. this year it stayed in shed, will for every Oz day forever.

I am no electronic fan with the exception of EFI. So much better than carburetors.
The other electronics are getting better. It is a slow process however. ABS has been around awhile. Gotten much better, but still has some disadvantages Including safety aspects.

The other shite can be quite good if they can be adjusted by the rider. Especially when they can be set to not engage during ambitioned riding and only kick in when very close to the limit. You'll have to spend thousands of $ for that though. And more dough has to be shelled out when they fail.

This just happened to a guy I follow on youtube. Of cause some chimed in immediately "didn't you have traction control on". Just like believers in religion who are baffled after they die and realize there are no 72 virgins waiting to pleasure him.
