n40 nolan

Ive has a couple of X-Lite lids Im almost sure there the same company as Nolan - good fit - light but feel quality compared - not too noisy

I'm looking at a N104 or N87 Grog.  Think I'll give the 104 a whirl & see if I like it.  Think Sweaty has a N87, speaks well of it.    The 104, being a flip up hat, has a better safety rating than my Shoei GT Air would you believe?  That's why I'm going to give one a go, plus they fit nice too.

My last helmet was a second hand Shoei flip up. I would only buy a flip up now. Great in Australian hot weather as can ride with the front up as long as you not going too fast.

yep i got one last year just a bit lighter than my full face arai , i hurt my neck and shoulder early last year was good fit and comfortable for long rides while not as quite as the arai for me i now use ear plugs with both helmets whichever is worn ,the only problem for me is in winter the front lens fogs up as it angles back into face at the bottom which is good but also brings it closer to your nose , but for me has been a good helmet all round no problems reconmending other than fogging first 10-15 mins in winter and yes tried shaving cream any other recommendations for de fogging ?

Thanks ezza, ill try the nolan to make sure it fits my ugly head. To stop winter fogging the answer is a dririder fog off balaclava. Had mine for 3 winters. Very warm and you breathe thru a vertical tube. Best $40 youll spend for winter. Im not sure how to put links thru phone, just search it. My only suggested mod to it is, the breather tube is velcrod into mask. Mine kept moving. I drilled two holes in tube and material, put a small cable tie thru. All fixed. Bloody great invention that mask.

Hi Grog,
I have the N87 now, which is my first Nolan.
As far as Nolan as a brand goes, I am very impressed with the quality, fit, finish & comfort etc. Great helmet.
