is there a yoshi or akra system that i can keep my centrestand when fitted. k7

gsxbarmy

Nope, not that I know of with either system fitted, not if you want it on the bike all the time. The only option would be to get a custom stand made grog IMO if such an exhaust was indeed fitted.

as barmy says  :onya:
you can fit the centrestand with an akroprovic system to a k2-k4 with a very slight bit of fettling but not the later models.
i still refit the centerstand for maintenance but have a lift stick from germany i keep under the seat (will post link soon as i find it)

have a look at this thread (http://gsx1400owners.org/forum_test/index.php?topic=1160.msg12111#msg12111)

my spare standard red/black has the stand as its so useful  when away on big trips ect

Hooli

Why would you want to?

Honest question that as I hate riding 14s with centre stands. The bloody pedal bit gets in the way of my feet unless I have my toes much too far forward & I'm not exactly tall or have huge feet.

Red Biker

I don't have any issues with mine Hooli,
On the plus side it's easy for quick maintenance and keeps the back wheel off the ground whilst not riding.

On the down side I prefer the look without it but that's not enough for me right now👍

Cheers

Many a Donkey has lost its hoof on the rocky road, don't be that Donkey!

Snapey

My K2 retained the centre stand when I fitted the Yoshi system without any modifications. The K7 centre stand mount is slightly different so a Yoshi may not fit although it's worth a try. I'm sure someone on the old org had an Akropovic system and centre stand combination.
If you look like your passport photo then you're too sick to travel.

i had an akroprovic on my K2 with the center stand but it won't fit on the K6 i did try but i have a braced swingarm so not center stand now anyway.

Lads, on a K7 what's the little stainless flappy bracket for on the centerstand mount ?
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

That's the bump stop for the centre stand. On the twin can versions, the bump stop is under the LH can, so when they fitted the single can as to the K5 on, they had to re-site the bump stop. And that's where they chose

It may be false but I heard that the centre stand has caused fatalities due to the centre stand 'digging in'. The guys in other thread scraping engine casing would have the stand removed??
My garage floor will never rust

I am with Red on this..
My bike boots are size 10 1/2 and my centre stand never fouls my feet when riding..
I find it way too useful to be without!
The Abba stand I had recently to remove both wheels was OK but hardly convenient.
I lube my chain (Gear oil) after every ride.

A Honda CB1300 I used to own didnt have a centre stand so I had one retro fitted at my local Honda dealership.

Just too useful to be without in my opinion.

KiwiCol

2 more pence worth,  I have size 13+ hoofs & I've never had an issue with them encountering the side or main stand - unless that's where I choose to put it.

You could always take a few thou off it with a grinder to get you over further before contact?
