Does any one know how many GSX1400's were produced in its production run?

I read the other day (on here somewhere) there were about 20,000 produced total.

20000 could be.

According to Suzuki, the last six digits of the VIN identify the individual bike, the first 14 has the 100001. So far the highest (youngest) I know is a K7 with 117481 and the oldest 100156.

Isn't there an issue with similar numbers being issued in different countries?

An AU model and a UK model both ending in similar numbers although the full
VIN shows they are clearly different bikes?

The B-King forum has been trying to workout production numbers for a while
but never got an agreed figure.

Funny. Suzuki must know, they have quoted GSXR production numbers in the past
but don't seem keen to share numbers for Busa, B-King, GSX14 etc etc.

If you serious about your Suzuki's this book is worth a look.

Its a bit heavy going in places, but I found it pretty interesting
and some good info about their early years.

Mine VIN ends 100842, think you must be right Tony, maybe mine is number 842 in NZ, certainly wouldn't be number 842 in total production run, it's a K6 after all.
