Have just read that Valentino Rossi has broken his leg in a training accident.
Sorry to hear that. Never nice when someone gets hurt.
Get well soon.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Notty

Thats a bummer and he is doing so well - 38 and a broken leg - could it be the end?  :bugga:
The older I get the better I was
The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

gsxbarmy

Indeed never good, these things never heal properly, and doing motocross as well

Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

seth

he uses motocross bikes at his ranch
the track is flat but a lose surface no jumps tho.
many of the top guys go there to train .
its a big place just behind his house.
love him or loath him its sad new as the championship is close this year and i was hoping it would be settled on the race track as when its this close always a great atmosphere in valencia in November.
only a slightly modified gsx1400

Shame -considering the speeds he does in GP. To happen like this.
He who laugh's last - laugh's last...

Oxley sums it up nicely. I believe this is the start of the end for his Moto Gp carrier. Age is starting to show. Those last laps in Silverstone he couldn't stay  with the top boys.
But now for the million dollar question. Who will ride his bike in Misano next weekend??? :whistling:

I would like to see Zarco on the 2017 M1!!!!

I hope he continues racing as long as he's competitive.

Going by his previous form this season and where he still sits in the world championship he's far from past it. Maybe he won't ever see another Championship win but racing is largely about entertainment. The battles, the characters, the tactics, the mistakes. Rossi is good for this and good for the sport in general.

Sure MotoGP racing will continue when he's gone but just like a favourite boxer or racehorse he's there to entertain us, like him or hate him, hero or villain, he has a roll.

New Thailand MotoGP race next year.
I wouldn't mind going to that.

Yes Tony i agree. He's such an icon.
When people think Moto GP most think Valentino Rossi......the sport will be the poorer when he's not there.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

That was his kicking leg too!
May the sun be warm & shining and your roads be smooth & winding.

he will ride with a broken leg, maybe.

Mick_J

The repair went well, I think if he can ride he will.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

Paulpmy

If you saw him at silverstone it wasn't his fitness why he couldn't keep up it was rear tyre spinning out on corners you couldn't see on TVs but I was there and could hear it spin up and smell the rubber
So nothing to do with cant keep up

It will be a sad day when 46 is not on our screens every summer
