slack throttle cables

Just wondering if slack cables can affect the performance on a fuel injected bike with a TPS? I've not owned a GSX before and from vids I've seen on youtube mine doesn't seem to have the pull I was excepting though hard to tell 100% if it's just me being tarded which is most likely is. There's a bit of free play in the throttle and wondering if that could affect it in anyway with the bike having a TPS? It's been sitting for a little while before I had it, I put new spark plugs in to it and air filter looks a little dirty but only got 8k on the clock is the filter due a replacement?

Still seems to pull like sh*t of a shovel and now any bike I ride seems crap in comparison but was expecting a little more tho that said I can't see what gear riders are in on youtube nor can I tell how far they're opening the throttle.

Adjust the cables. They ride much better.
