Morning  All
well, after virtually a Year of being sat in the garage unloved...  (due to other stuff just happening) i went to a bike show yesterday and parked up...  My dear ole 14 won best Streetfighter..

I was about to leave too as i was knackered so it was a complete surprise.  Steve Parrish was the judge and said it was lovely....!!!

Thanks guys...
i must admit i was a little chuffed...  its literally sat in the garage while i mull over what to do with it...  it was looking a bit dull and unloved so i bought some Autosol and did a few hours with a cloth. got more on myself than on the bike!!

Ive just done 2600 miles in 5 days on my GTR1400 on a tour in Italy so i was REALLY not wanting to look at a bike for a few days but.. i set to work and tadaaaaaa  my 1st every trophy thing.  i haddnt even thought about any prize or being serious ..  you know, just parked it up..

i might have a little renewed energy to get it a bit fettled now.... 

i was really 99% sure i was going to sell it. !

It often takes others to make us appreciate some of the wonderful things we have. After I sold my 14, I often looked back with regret. Now I am proud to have another one, cherishing it more than the first. The 14s are definitely not your everyday bike, as witnessed by the comments of many "lookers".

Not long ago someone I didn't know walked up to me and told me (completely apropos of nothing) "You'll never win any trophies with that mate, not with a GPS mount on it".

It had just parked in a car park, not at a show !  Odd.
