Hi, everybody; hadn't´t been here a while. Didn't´t know the site owners had changed. I hope this keeps going same as the trusty old GSX. I normally use motorcycle boots but without the gear shift pad. That sometimes makes shifting a bit messy for me. I need the lever to lower a bit, closer to the boot. Where is the adjustment done ? On the rod or the splined shaft near the engine ? And do I need to maintain the 40-50 mm height ?

hiya buddy
not new owners its a totally new site.
glad you found us

fine adjustment is done on the rod the nuts are left and right handed so one way lifts the lever other way lowers it.

good luck

OK. Got it. Thanks. Anyway what´s the the spline for and the 40-50 mm height ?

some folk have had gearbox problems if adjusting via the splines there only there as its the only way bike manufacturers use to transfer the action of the gear lever.
I'd adjust via the rod as a first go you do get quiet alot of adjustment that way

You have to keep the angle of the unit on the spline and the angle coming down from the gear lever roughly the same otherwise you can get strange gear changes. There is sufficient movement by spinning the rod to keep these aligned whilst also giving a pretty wide range of adjustment to suit all riding styles
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

Normally you can get adjustment on the threaded bar.

If not you move the arm on the spline by a tooth.
However.... If you tip the upright arm off the spline too far backwards or forwards from the 12 O'clock position it's not ideal. Mine sits at about 1 o'clock.
