As I have more than one bike I regularly ride other makes and models but the closest bike I have to the 14 is my BMW R1200r, it has more power, less weight and the same torque.  For me it's more comfortable and has much better tank range for longer trips.

Yeah, were flexible on whatever brand you choose. If it rides nice, just go for it. Maybe youve seen me post that im looking after my mates Ducati Diavel. Can ride it anytime i want. After 3 weeks of it, not a bike i like at all. Certainly looks unreal, pull up somewhere and always someone drooling. No one ever comments on my 14. Wont waste your time here but if anyone wants to know why i prefer an old Suxuki gsx 14, ill write it up.
@grog  I'd like to hear why. Your inside knowledge on the 2 bikes would be very welcome.

why i prefer an old Suxuki gsx 14,

Mates couldn't understand when I owned a Hayabusa and a B-King why I went out and bought an early Bandit 1200.    I think they are great fun, heaps of feed back, brilliant to wheelie, stoppie and clown about on, easy to hot up and easy to work on. Just simple basic fun bikes.

Some bikes just appeal to some people, and some bikes really can't be judged by their specs alone.

Awesome photos  :)
How was the CB? Really like the look of that bike [but well happy with my GSX [thought I'd put that in before I get kicked off the site ]]
I didn't get to opportunity to swap bikes with the missus. She has a '96 GSF600S and found the CB a little lacking in power on the freeways but like me fine on the tight and twisty stuff.
It felt a little cramped for the 1st few hours but I must have got used to it. Then when I came back home and took the 14 for a squirt it felt a lot more spacious! I also knew it was fun to ride something else but the 14 was easily my sort of bike.

@grog I'd be really interested in a write up of Diavel vs GSX1400 as well. Please do!
