@Dwain Dibley I have just been out to the garage and had a look at my tyres, these were fitted a couple of weeks ago and are the same Pirelli ST's, although mine are a bit older than yours 1722 both the front and the back have the other number exactly the same as on your tyres 001341 2012 with the same little lines. I suspect, although I may be wrong but this could be the code for the tread pattern or similar

Cheers

So, it's been a while, but we finally got time to get the bike in the abba skylift to get the wheels out.
Got my trusty 36mm socket and wrench.........couldn't shift the wheel nut. It's supposed to be torqued at 100nm, but we were lifting the bike and it still didn't move.

An impact gun does the trick, else a longer handle on the wrench.
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

Give it a good soak in penetrating fluid, shop bought or DIY 50/50 mix of automatic gearbox oil and acetone... then hit it with a decent rattle gun.

Both things worth having in the workshop.

Just needs more persuading. Breaker bar with 3 foot pipe.

Eric GSX1400K3

My bmw front wheel was like that, supposed to be 50Nm. Standing on my breaker bar with an extension pipe on the handle did get it....eventually....after snapping my adapter.  The PO had lubed the axle nut with something, and being stored outside in a coastal village, some interesting chemical reactions with the alloy fork lever and steel axle  had frozen the nut.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Rattle Gun, never seez when refitting. Also workshop necessity.

Hooli

Do it up slighty first & soak in penetrating fluid. You can get a bit of crud build up outside it & jam the threads, doing it up releases the pressure on that to flush it out with the spray & can free off any corosion too.

Cheers chaps, I have bought a breaker bar and an adaptor for the front spindle bolt. I have soaked the rear, and Son in law has an impact gun. So, it will come off, but not this week tho......I got me a new shed coming tomorrow and my Daughter is having her second child on the 25th ( IVF and C section), so a busy next two weeks. LOL

Now you have my attention.  I love a shed.

Well hang in there, cos it was a no show.  :furious:  :furious:  I could have been gainfully employed getting my mates CX500 running
(with a cdi unit replacement from Marco Bekker), instead of hanging around like a bad smell.
Ended up repainting a fence and some garden chairs.
