DD, bit of a bark, sound good. 👍

I loosened everything up on the exhausts today, sprayed a little soapy water on the rubber bands behind the straps.

The straps weren't exactly round when they arrived.

Because everything had had time to settle down, I was then able to realign the silencers a bit better, and the lhs link pipe which has the the rubber cushion on it.

The cushion was missing the stand, and the stand had it's own cushion missing, hence the stand was hitting the link pipe.

At first I tried to source a cushion for the center stand.........£14.00...I like my solution better.   :mwink:

All is well now and looks way better from the back as well.   :clapping:

Crewie.

Hooli

Sounds the best way, misaligned pipes look awful to follow.

T 24 posted that he uses 0.5% two stoke oil in his fuel, I have heard it said before.

I am using STP regularly in my fuel.

0.5% is a ratio of 200 to 1, for 22 Litres, ie, 110ml is that correct ?

I have some Belray two stroke left over from flying 2 stroke planes, so I may as well try it as a rust inhibiter.

What do you guys reckon ?

I went out and filled her to the brim, as per other advice on here, and then gave her a little blast.
I didn't go mad, because I don't 100% trust the back tyre. It's a bit old and slippy.
However, there was no hesitation, no cutting out (like on the pre tank clean trip), but there was a twat who pulled out on me only 5 minutes in......luckily I could see it coming and was off the gas.
Being a keen cyclist I am used to it and I have a bar cam on the pushbikes. I think I need to adapt it for the big bikes as well.
Its an SJ4000 as seen here.

Ties in with another thread (re dashcams) as the batteries only last 90 mins but I have accumulated a fair few.

Just treated her to a new pair of boots. Pirelli Angels (ST) £201, not bad in my Humble Opinion.

DD, just interested, do they still make ST? Production date of yours bought? Just seems a long time since GT came along. On my 3rd set.

Ok Grog, you had me at this morning matey..... :coffeescreen:

When I looked at the tyres while they were tie wrapped together I saw this date.

Tyre Date 1.jpg

Ten years old..... FFS

So a load of researching and I found this, I will post it here as it is quite a good watch.

So I was happy to use the tyres......Anyway I split them and looked again, as the date is specified to be in an oval, and TaDah!!

I found this date on the inside edge, which is more like it, as the tyres were advertised as new, and I was about to phone the vendor.

Tyre date 2.jpg

So, to answer your question my good Friend, YES, they still make 'em. Thank Goodness, cos I am supposed, according to my Consultant, to avoid stress.   :rofl2:

The serenity has been restored at Dibley Towers.

That's better, week 47 of year 2022.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.
