Hi all,

Does anyone have any experience of the Hagon Road shock absorbers ? I hear a lot about the Nitro but was curious how the cheaper options held up?

Any reviews ? TIA

When I bought my (original) K2 years ago second-hand it had the Hagon Road shocks fitted - from memory, they worked but (IMO) were a little harsh, with quite a quick rebound action - and there were not many adjustments, so you couldn't alter pre-load for example. I replaced them with Nitro's and the ride was more comfortable after that.

That was about 18 years ago mind! They could well of changed since then. For the money though, they were not bad and did the job, just basic and a bit "hard" for me.
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

I have Hagon Nitros and they are fine  :) they are shorter than normal to help my little legs reach the floor though  :bugga:
The older I get the better I was
The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

It's the 'Hagon Road' shocks I'm interested in mate, I hear only good things about the Nitros but they are a little out of my price range at the moment ...

JHR, id be searching getting yours re built, they come up nice.Brooks Suspension UK do them for 312 pounds. Hagons prob ok, no idea from me. YSS next option, get good reviews. After that into big bucks, Wilbers etc. Not rear but i fitted Wilbers springs, along with re build in front, worth every dollar.

Glad theyre working for you Fastie. I dont need new but would be my choice. I also think Ikon are underated, were Koni. Had them on GS1000, were really good, tossed some Marzocchi which were crap, no travel.Stock work for me, no racer.Really good mod on here somewhere for stockers, threaded spring tension adjuster sleeve, one day ill do that.

i looked into sending mine to them as ones seized and thats 312 each. For 650 might as well buy some new yss ones but ive going with diy  rebuilding option as DD has shown me on one of my threads. Or if i cba ill get the cheaper yss rz ones for 357 squids.
Thats why i always ride alone
