I actually enjoy xmas day, we just eat, drink, swim, talk crap. Im good at all those. The month lead up i hate, so many paranoid wits in shops, on the roads,xmas parties, hate the lot.

Loved Christmas when the kids were little.
People would crash their cars a fortnight before xmas and say will it be ready by xmas, I'd work like an idiot and get it mobile for them. I'd be shatterd and they'd barely say thank you. Now if that happens i'd say "yeah sure, oh sorry did mean this xmas ...... err no !!  Or... No sorry you should have crashed it in October. I'm so over it.
However xmas day is now the day I leave for the Wanganui Boxing Day street races

I really haven't enjoyed a Xmas in quite a while.   I've worked through a few, and spent others flat out renovating, or building, or in a rented place I wasn't happy in, or driving long distances to chauffeur others around.

Not this year !   First year in the new place and Mrs is heading off to meet her daughter for the 23rd, 24th and Xmas day, so it's just me and the Demolition Dingo with our feet up having some peace and quiet. Eat and drink in the aircon and long walks in the countryside.

Mrs and I will celebrate when she gets home.

Step son and his Mrs and dog (Golden Retriever) are coming to stay with us between Xmas and New Year, although he's a bit concerned my devil dog Roof will disassemble his dog.

Mrs has had Hell of a couple of years with work and she's taking 2 weeks off.

Im actually looking forward to it. I might even put up some lights and a tree.
