it's all good.
I have just spent this afternoon planning a trip down south just in case. I'll make the call in the morning after I see the updated weather forecast but it's not looking good for a trip to Brisbane.
Jindabyne, Falls Creek, Great Ocean Road is looking good at the moment.

Sook.  Most we'll have here is a bit of rain.....

Kiwifruit

The flooding there must be heartbreaking, the scale of the clean up looks massive....... best wishes to all those affected across the ditch. Kia Kaha.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

grog

im ok, just wind and 210mm rain. all good. one place up near mackay had 1350mm rain in two days. thats hard to imagine.

Kiwifruit

All that mud and silt we are seeing. The entire contents of businesses all piled up ruined on the footpath. Then theres the crocs and snakes in the water.
Sometimes nature just has its way.
Just sad to see.

Parts of NZ have been warned we are likely to cop the tail of it so expect flooding.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

For those who came in late... there was also some discussion on this in the rain thread...

Lots of photos here:  http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4356998/Cyclone-Debbie-north-Queensland-damage-injury-death.html
Definitely an especially bad time for the yachties....

And as usual journos are often more hindrance than help... https://www.crikey.com.au/2017/03/29/journos-risk-life-and-limb-to-cover-cyclone-debbie/

I can't find the picture but to give you English peeps some sense of scale if this thing had hit the UK there wouldn't have been anywhere not severely impacted between Land's End and John o' Groats.
