Proper job where you achieve something that, unlike mine where no one cares

Lol Col..
It was a new piece of Maple.. The owner never thought of keeping the piece that was knocked off..
Obviously that was one of my better jobs, some are not as good as that..
As I say to customers / friends.. Its "controlled Luck".. The longer you have been doing it the less luck is involved, but there is always a little needed.
Not all cracks can be made invisible. But all can be made secure and re enforced on the inside
etc, etc

I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

I was talking to someone about 14's with sidecars recently.
Much as I've never ever wanted to own one,  I'm pretty sure my dog would think it was excellent. He's discovered putting his head out of the car window recently, I can only imagine how happy he'd be not to be left at home when I'm out riding.

I've always had an odd desire for a 2wd Ural as a 'winter car'.

1973 i bought basket case ULH Harley, cost $100. Motor parts in sidecar. Me and my Magic Father got it running. Was rare factory version, 80 CU inch instead of 74. Had reverse gear and Dusting sidecar. from factory, we never realised we had gold. Used to ride it up and down the road. Mates loved it, always started first kick. Sold it for $1000, about 10k in todays money. Found out later, only 2 brought to Oz. Its value today , just none for sale. Theres some in US, never see a 80 with reverse. I know it its worth more than my house today, how many kicks can you give yourself. Can see my K model GT 750 in shadows in shed,

GSXR1000,

A bit obscure, but I follow "No bar" racing.
Streetbikes, but almost all have silly long swingarms.
The fun bit is the rules include "street tyres" and "no wheelie bars" so the bikes can be a real handful.

Interestingly amongst all the big horsepower Turbo Busa's, ZX14's, etc the first bike in the class to run into the 5's was a turbo GSXR1000.

I know, he talks funny and the rear wheel is in a different post code, but on street tyres and no wheelie bar (these bike DO flip) that's quick !

Today I saw that rarest of beasts - a Tesla WITHOUT a personalised number plate.
Ottomans: 'Hippity hoppity, Vienna's our property"
...and then the Winged Hussars arrived.
