Thought it might be interesting to see what everyone likes to do outside of bikes and our beloved GSX1400..

For me, I like photography - I used to a very busy wedding photographer when I lived down in Nowra and also was registered with the national parks and wildlife as a photographer, which meant I could leave the walking trails to take photos etc, with the park rangers permission, but they then also had free use of my photos..

Other hobby is airbrushing - which I tend to combine with motorcycles.  Airbrushing helmets, motorcycles (fuel tanks etc) as well as cycling frames, T-Shirts and general artwork..

Phone photos aren't very good..

The Virago tank was done for a friend of mine many years ago..

The other 2 were done recently as a test run for some t-shirts a couple of friends said they would like.

Yet to do one with the 1400.  I'll get around to it once I do a few helmets..  as luck would have it, I visited a motorcycle shop that was moving to a new premises and they gave me 4 old helmets for free.  They were going to throw them out, so I grabbed them..  prime candidates to do some artwork on..

Wow, what talent you guys have!  :hat: :clapping: :onya:   Only thing I'm good at is cooking stuff (and eating it) and demolishing beer.

I bought 20 acres of land 180K's from the city.
Renovated my city house and sold up to fund building a house and sheds on the block, house was finished 10 days ago.

I don't intend to be a Doomsday Prepper or Tree Hugging Hippy but I am embracing the Off Grid life. No postman, no dustman, bottled gas, tank water, eco septic system, 3m long walk in pantry etc.  Currently have 4 x 22,700 water tanks with 2 more going in, I do have a windmill, bore and creek as back up. Just starting to plan a large solar system and battery wall, with a back up diesel generator.

I'm just starting more planting, I've been putting in Tallowwoods and Grey Gums for the resident Koalas and She Oaks for my Black Cockatoo's.  I'm planning a large orchard, 50m x 50m veggie garden, hens, 3 or 4 beef cattle and more, currently looking for a Fergie Tractor, ideally something like a 135.

Regularly see Wallabies, Roo's, Echidna's, Eastern Brown snakes, Tree Frogs, Ornate Burrowing Frogs, Kookaburras, Wedge Tail Eagles, Yabbies, along with my 9 resident ducks and pet Magpie and heaps more wildlife.  We have fenced off 2 or 3 acres that's being set aside as a wildlife area.

Currently removing the last of my Lantana, cactus's and thistles.

It's my retirement project and escape from the rat race.

I've build a second shed just for bikes, but if I'm not in there I'm normally working somewhere on my block.

When not motorcycling... in no particular order

* Watching youtube docos and reading books, mostly on maritime history (I'm a nutter for it).

* Building websites for me - gayundah.info being a maritime history related one. Oh I also have a motorcycle forum....

* Building websites for other people (side hustle)

* Shooting (mostly shotgun - clay target these days)

* Four Wheel driving (specifically in my 1995 Land Rover Defender Ute)

* Building computers

and

* Being poor due to all of the above.

Im very basic. Love my golf. I like keeping up to date on all bike stuff. Footy, beer, house jobs, gardening included. This site is a hobby. Working on cars/bikes, just what i do, considered a hobby, not for me.

I'm hoping to get back into target shooting, I'm waiting on a response from my local rifle club about becoming a member and starting up again.

Free time ? What's that lol

I run an amateur boxing club, totally voluntarily and hopefully keep some of our youngsters on the right path 🤞

I also do the odd track day on my zx6r with all my boxing club logo's on it.

Any time left after that I love to get up the Scottish hills 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I love my DIY, I've built a few pergolas, arbors and decks. Love working with timber.  When I'm not tinkering on the 1402, I'm working on the BMW, my Landrover Discovery 4 or my kids cars, or planning the next house project.  Currently planning a full ensuite and bathroom reno....
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.
