Hi all, thinking of buying a airhawk seat pad, anyone have any thoughts?, I know we have one of the comfy seats in the world, but wondering if this would improve the whole bottom experience.
Just loving it

they are bit high on the sections (2"high)
you might be better with a gel pad as similar price and much lower(1/2" high) and more comfortable.
I've worked with wheelchairs for the last 20 years and we used to use a lot of roho cushions (thats the cushion the airhawk is developed from) we now use nearly totally gel cushions.
I'd go to a bike show near you and try both on any show bike before you spend your hard earned.

good luck
only a slightly modified gsx1400

Thanks Seth, as I understand it you only put a very small amount of air in it, but will check it out further.

you should be able to change the amount of air in it .

I use one on long hauls and they do make a long day in the saddle more bearable. Biggest issue is the tendency to slide around on the seat in the corners.
May the sun be warm & shining and your roads be smooth & winding.

They are good, but a custom seat with a good (medical) gel pad I found preferable and more comfortable. The standard seat is (imo) just too "slabby" so rounding the sides off and adding a bum stop makes it so much better. Decent one with both seats done with a Gel pad though will set you back about £300 - but what price comfort?
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement
