Finally had some fine weather and 17 riders turned out today (see pic attached) for a run from The Gap BP through Mt.Mee to Woodford for a hearty breakfast at Jalla's. New owners and remaining true to the previous owner exact same menu and food was awesome. I had the heart attack breaky pancakes bacon maple syrup and two fried eggs.

I must have missed the invite  :upu: :stir:

I only invited my mates. I remember you doubted   whether I had any previously.  :stir: :stir:

Best allrounder I've ever owned 👍

Today. The winds calmed down, the temps came up a bit, and the next lot of rain hadnt got here yet, so....

"It's Show Time"

Good pics Mate but that can is a shocker. IMO.

Tony Nitrous

They are HUUUUUGE!!!

They can stay on for a while, untill I decide what the future holds for it.
I'm tempted to not do just cans this time and hold out for a full system... maybe.

I'm a big Yoshi fan and they are normally my first choice but I'm tempted by the Akra full system.

Nowhere in same realm but Yoshi Tri Oval BJ gave me, best my old 14 ever sounded. On my 4 th type, sounds great and gives much more mid range, didnt think link pipe and can could make a difference but does. Yoshi know there stuff for sure.

Tony Nitrous

I'm a big fan of Yoshi stuff.  I'm very happy my Cyclone full system. It's on the long side but the quality, sound and performance are spot on.

Some of the newer Yoshi full systems just look odd to me. I don't doubt they work well, but I'm not a fan.

No rush. Woolich have hacked the new Euro-5 ECU (that are a bit harder to get into) but they are still playing with the software and haven't issued the leads etc yet.

Yoshi Tri Oval

Great exhaust. Springwood Suzuki we're doing a deal where they blinged up brand new Gen-1 Busa's, paddock stand bobbins, tank pad, polished rims, Yoshi Tri Oval cans etc on the showroom floor.

I'd never had Tri Ovals before but they sounded great.

I like my Tri-Oval. Cheated and put carbon fiber look a like vinyl on it ages ago. Still looks like new and sounds good. Never going to get pinged for it being to loud.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Today.

I really should take the 14 out but I'm trying to get 1000k and a first service done on this one.

Could become collectable if Suzuki go broke.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's the end of their big bikes.  The days of 1ltr+ bikes like Katana's, GSXR1100's, 1135E's right through to Bandits, GSX14's, B-Kings, Busa's might be over. The Euro bikes still seem to sell big capacity, but it's something the Japs have backed out off, the new Kat, GSX-S, H2 range, MT's etc etc have nothing "BIG".

I'm really jealous @Rynglieder we have had a years worth of rain this month and I've only had one ride and I got absolutely soaked that night.  :worshippy:

Keep up your excellent reports and pics  :onya: :onya:

Well as you know the weather is notoriously unpredictable here, but the beauty of being retired is that you can pick out the dry days.

I'm sure your winter season will throw up a few dry days soon, make the most of it when they come.  :)

05/05/2022 Shrewsbury (c. 70 miles)

There was a bit of sunshine around and it felt like time to take the Z1300 out again. After years of little use it seems right to keep it moving regularly since I spent a few quid on it last autumn. Having taken it out a few times this year my confidence is growing in it a bit now and I'm even inclined to overtake traffic on it now and again without fear of it spluttering and dying halfway through a manoeuvre.

That said I'm still a bit reluctant to go too far from home on it, the GSX or GTR are a after bet for a long run but I was happy enough to point it in the direction of Shrewsbury so that I could enjoy the full complement of six cylinders for a couple of hours.

I pitched up the '13 by Shrewsbury Abbey and then walked over the English Bridge to take a photo or two. It was a bit too warm to slog up the hill into the main town in the bike gear so I returned to the bike and after a brief pause to view Lord Hill's Column made my way to Cantlop Bridge, a little off my usual route but another place I had been aware of for years but never got round to visiting. Of historical significance due to its design and association with the engineer Thomas Telford, it is at least possible to pull up by it for free even though you've seen it all within two minutes.

A very routine ride home was made more interesting by chasing down and passing the traffic built up by a couple of slow HGVs, the Z13 is still singing to me at the moment.

So just back from completing the Wild Atlantic Way - had previously (pre-Covid) completed the South and West, the North has waited 2 years and now its done. Just over 1600 miles in a week, mainly dry weather, but one day it just poured! Even got to ride the NW200 route as well  :onya:
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

Kiwifruit

Looks like a decent ride Dave. Rugged coastline thanks for sharing  :onya:
