Today took big girl into town, noticing now days, arms/shoulders hurt a bit more. Thinking i might add a lighter bike. Any suggestions. Been thru choices, nothing much i like. My choice, rode one, very nice bike. Feels tiny, revs hard, new can and would sound nice. . Hate gauges, thats all. Any opinions or other to look at? MT07 i tried, nice bike.  dont want european. Just wish they made a 1000 version, only in adventure type, totally not me.

At least it's a Suzuki....or half of one
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

I've heard these are very comfy & good for seniors  . . .   :whistling:

This one even has a retro looking headlight....

More seriously, XSR900? They kinda look like a bike & I see several ridden by people of the 'older generation'.

If you are keeping the 1400 for when you want the huge TORQUE and longer trips do look at the

Honda CB400 aka CB400SF "Super Four'

They were never cheap but were/are an excellent bike.
Very rarely seen on showroom floors even back in the day as more expensive than their (inferior) competitors.

I'd recommend a 2008-2013 model (the ABS version thereof if you can find one)

A review from 2013:  https://www.mcnews.com.au/honda-cb400/

In 2014 a new LCD screen dash arrived and that really spoils the vibe of the bike IMHO

The bike is still being manufactured but last year in Australia was 2016.

My first hand experience I've ridden one and really enjoyed it. (and yes I was riding my current GSX1400 back then too)

...and then the Winged Hussars arrived.

Good call Mike, just had a squizz online, there's a few around, pricing is reasonable 6.5 to 8.5 k asking.  Nice looking too.

If you still like the "retro" look Would the modern Kwawaski Z650 do it?

If wheight is an issue though there is probably not a lot of difference between it and the Z900, as it's been around longer there will be a few more 900's around on the second hand market plus you get the extra power.
