Speedo Gauge Wiring

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum. I have a K1 which I recently bought without proper gauges. I made the decision to buy chinese made CB1300 gauges due to difficulty finding used GSX gauges/price of OEM. I have everything wired and working except the speedo. Working from the wiring diagrams I have found, there are 2 wires coming from the speedo sensor on the gsx (a Pink/Black and an orange and red). When I wire either of these or both to the speedo wire on the gauges nothing seems to happen (needle remains at zero).

If anybody has any advice I'd appreciate it!

You need Thommohawk, I think you'd only find him on the FB groups these days though

By the way, is it really a K1? They were Japan only and limited to 120mph as far as I know. K2s were sold from Sept 2001 in the UK.

Must be a K2 then! Thanks I don't know a whole lot about model specifics.
