Im saddend to have to admit to you fine forgiving fellows that since July 2019 to this day I have only done 1500 miles on my bike  :embarassed:

In my defence I have had to take a lot more care in who I mingled with due to my good lady needing to be super careful due to Covid. Im sitting myself about getting back out as Ill be so ring rusty it will be like going back to L plates, but bike is cleaned, oiled, chain lubed and tyres checked (been moved a lot so not flat spotted) so going out this week for a few solo bimbles

That gentlemen is my defence and I hope you take leniency on me for my poor show in the last 2 years  ;) ;)

It's been a bonkers time mate.
Just do what you can and take it easy as everything will comeback quicker than you think .
I've done a few more miles in the last 5 weeks but before that I think I'd done 1000 miles since Feb 2020
Emma had managed 600 miles .
You needed to look after Helen and no excuses needed for that.
Hopefully catch up before the end of the summer but take your time and only do what your happy with .

It sure has been a strange 18 months alright! I worked straight through Covid until March this year when I ended up out of work, since then I have done between 3.5 & 4K miles on the bike, more than I have done in the last few years!

I have met plenty of new people and have enjoyed every minute of it but need to get back to work now, so if anyone needs a plant or transport manager or similar here I am, things may start to get a bit tight in the next few months

@Del leaving the bike parked up is a small price to pay for safety, take it easy and i'm sure it will feel like you have never been away before you know it  :onya:

No need to make excuses when it comes to looking after your family.  Enjoy your ride's, it wont take long to you to settle into it again.

**BOOM** and just like that my phone rang this morning out of the blue (and white) with a job offer as plant & transport manager with a local company, I hadn't applied for a job with them but they had word that I was out of work and looking for something - happy, oh yes and I start the day after tomorrow

@Del sorry for the thread hijack, but thought it was woth following up after mentioning it last night

Cheers
