Hello, I joined this forum a few weeks back.
While living in China some years ago, I had a K3 which I liked a lot. It was of black/red colour and I have been looking for same colour scheme for a couple of years.
One month ago I found a K5 and bought it without even test riding it.  It's in pristine condition with low mileage and everything is stock. The K3 I had earlier had more oomph (at least I think so), so the stock exhaust has to go.
I have a KTM 990 Adventure for all the dirty business, so this will be the one I will keep nice and shiny.

My wife's son lives in Shanghai, when we visited him the biggest bike l saw was a 750 cop bike.
You would have been the king of the road on a GSX1400.

Big bikes do exist but they are banned from the centers of big cities. If you have the connections you could get a A-plate which allows entry. In Beijing I think the price was around 3000€ for just the plate.

Welcome mate, nice bike. I agree, china esp shanghai is not known for large capacity motorbikes.

If you want a nice exhaust, the Akra 4-1 system is a nice one.
