Good news Seth, lets hope this one last a bit longer. I hope the YTX14H-BS I bought for my BMW recently fairs a bit better that's for sure
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

Good news Seth
My 'new' YTX14H lasted 15 months - the supplier will not replace it as again its only a year warranty - I complained to Yuasa but they couldn't give a rat's ass!
I bout a new one (CAN$114)- just waiting for it now
Stan
I need to go somewhere I've not been but won't know until I get there!

I don't know what Yuasa are doing in their battery lineup know.
In the 80's and 90's I used to buy Yuasa Yumicron batteries which were always prefixed YB in their part number.
These cost more than the standard battery, but had more cranking power and lasted longer.
Well around 2000 they turned to shit and wouldn't last so I started buying batteries from a battery place which has been rebranded many times but is now Enirgi Power Storage.
Their batteries work well and last.
This doesn't help you guys overseas. All I can say is find another battery other than Yuasa.
CAUTION - My forum posts may be worth what you paid for them!

Coincides with most of the worlds manufacturing shifting to LCC (low cost centres), i.e SE Asia, India and China, so the QA/QC learning  curve started at the bottom at that time.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

The battery was bike ready full of charge but no cost if that's what you mean .
Bit of hassle having to keep going in 3 times as there customer service is none existant I'll hit them for a duscoyt on the next oil and plugs I get .

Can't beat a free duscoyt with parts, they are such useful items  :stir:

grog

Wearing a duscoyt will keep your clothes clean next service. 😂

@seth in his shed earlier

Hooli, 😂😂. Back to battery. I gave up on brand names, 3 in 3 yrs. were so called best. Cheap Chinesium AGM going well. Next time will be Lithium. Had a $400 version in Diavel, was brilliant. Could leave for weeks, always started. Just checked same for 14, now just $200. That will be my choice.

Seth, get yourself a trade card, your job should qualify you.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

I have thought about a trade card.
We do get 10%off by being in the AA which works well .

This battery talk has jinxed me. Stopped to check the mailbox this afternoon, go to restart, nothing.
It's a long push from the front of my place to the shed.
Battery was put in the bike by the local Suzuki dealer just before I bought it, October last year.
8 months and shot.
I'll call the dealer and see if they honour the 12 month warranty.
It is a SSB V Spec 4-VTX14-BS.

Thanks for the offer.  :onya:
I'm sure I won't have any problems claiming it, we'll see.
