I think that gear oil is probably the best oil to use but it throws itself all over the place.

i put oil on, both sides of chain. just use oil can. spin as many times until get sick of it. wipe chain off with rag. a small run, 20 to 30 ks. wipe off oil from front under sprocket and rear wheel, very easy. clean centrestand. job done. no more fling for a thou. ks. works for me.

My old bike had shaft drive. It was Suzuki GS 1000 G. I drove 200 000 km with it and changed oils to final drive twice.
Sometimes when Im wiping and oiling and adjusting those bicykle parts, I feel my self very stupid.
14 is nice bike, but those chains...
