Looking good there spb, enjoy.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

the excitement didnt last long.... i think the sidestand switch is faulty! starts in neural, but cuts out as soon as i drop it into first gear...!
Rang dealer up, and they were apologetic, and are sending a replacement out. not off to a good start, sadly.

If you find it's not the side stand or clutch .
The same thing happens if the topple over switch is faulty (normally corroded connectors in uk/Europe) it sits next to the reg/rec on the front of the battery box.

Good luck

Cheers Seth, i'll check that too. i have a trickle charge lear i want to fit, so i'll be accessing the battery shortly.

FIXED - Note to self, check the obvious things! Turns out the the clutch hose was leaking... not tightened at the bottom! little bit of fluid and bleeding, and all sorted!! had a quick round the block (nice!).. proper ride out tomorrow!

Um, its supposed to cut out with the  stand down when you put it in first gear, or am i reading it wrong?  That switch does gum up with road grime, so worth checking anyway.

Re leaking clutch hose, id be getting the dealer to recheck everything, seems like they havent done much, a leaking clutch hose is pretty dangerous.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Have to say, not overly impressed with the 'dealer' really. With Covid restrictions, etc. it has been very difficult to go out and view bikes, or test ride, etc. This bike was an hour and a half away, so i bought from dealer thinking peace of mind, and getting it delivered all seemed good. Warranty however says bike to be returned to them... so if it breaks, i need to get the bike to them for any repairs. Live in learn i guess... but i suspect their 'sevice' was just replace oil filter and oil, and nothing else.

That all said, with the clutch oil replaced, i took the bike out yesterday and LOVED it..... very comfortable, very responsive, and simply a joy to ride. Very pleased with my choice of bike. currently working through the new owners checklist, so thanks again for posting them up!

Pleased you got it sorted and enjoyed your ride  :onya:

Just another Pic while out last night.... bellypan replaced with crash bars. I think it looks better

grog

spb, looks much better. Nice bike. So much black, do bars same. No chrome needed on your bike. Just my opinion, love being a target. Givi bars are good lookers and work well.

spb2002

Cheers Grog! I thought i'd try the chrome and see, but i do tend to agree with you. next winter i'll change them to black, i'll have a few bits to do then.
