Tough decision for me, do l go to the National Jazz Festival in town tomorrow or head to the ma in laws in Gisborne, nice 300km ride on the scoota?  Maybe l could go to Gizzy on Sunday

as a PS, I won't make Tauranga tomorrow.  I'm doing a few roads I've not done before, just on 9 hours straight, so haven't really got time to detour into TGA.

Whanganui to P/North - turn on to 57
P/North to Levin - turn on to 1
Levin to WLG on Highway 1

Big day for a boy.    Have to stay overnight in WLG as last ferry is at 4pm today, (which is crap on a holiday schedule)  Last check in time for the Ferry (tomorrow Sunday) is 5.30am, so quiet night for me tonight & early to bed. Then cross & drive to Kaikoura where Mrs Kiwicol awaits.

Could meet for a quick coffee then l can drop in on my dad. Back Tauranga by midday.

Good to catch up with KiwiCol in Cambridge for a quick coffee and a bite to eat. Beautiful cloudless day. Lots of bikes out making the most of the great weather. 160km round trip for me......a further 7hrs for Col getting to Wanganui then on to Wellington and the ferry.
