Swing arm Bearings

Hi Everyone, Could anyone tell me the part numbers or bearing sizes I need to order for my swing arm, I'm looking to get some spanner time in in the next couple of weeks and I want to do the bearings. I would rather put all new bearings in rather than just re-grease those already in at the minute. It will be the first time I've attempted this type of job so I'm looking forward to it. I'm also doing the wheel bearings and steering stem bearings and wondered if it's worth taking off the dust seals to pack with extra grease?, I've ordered the KOYO bearings for the work I've got planned and just need the swing arm bearings ordered so any info gratefully accepted along with any good advice.

Honestly I'd just grease them, mine are still original and totally fine in a K2 on 161k miles. I've greased them twice in the time I've had the bike.

Always thought a pity those bearings dont have grease nipples. Similar story head bearings.

A lot of the older bikes had a grease nipple in the swingarm. I haven't had a look at the 14 setup, but probably just a case of drilling, tapping and fitting a grease nipple.

Does anyone think it's worth adding a grease nipple while I've got the swing arm off, I think it would be a lot of grease sitting in there adding weight but could be worth the effort. TTT

I don't think all the extra weight of grease will slow the bike down too much but I think its a good idea, my 94 Trident had at least 5 grease nipples on the swing arm and linkages, gave it a shot of the heavy stuff once a year.

Do the older bikes with nipples have needle rollers too? The only one I'm familiar with has solid bushes. I'm just wondering if the grease would get to the right place in the bearing, as you'd need to drill through the outer race to fit the nipple.

Personally, I wouldn't bother. I've done mine twice in 13 years & they are fine. If they take the miles & neglect mine survive I can't see them causing other people issues.

Just had a look in my Trident manual and it looks like they had needle roller bearings fitted.  Triumphs in the 90's were well over engineered.
