It's a home made cruise control. Works by friction keeping the throttle at a set position. It's already marking the throttle cable housing and taking the paint off it...
Assumption is the mother of all fuck ups!

Mrg

I'd say the main thing wrong with that if if you had a crash and the insurance won't a way out of paying. There is the right escape to not pay out a mod that's not patterned  so it up to him but I don't mind paying for the right peace of kit
look check and look again  then you see the fool

Hi MRG,
Thanks for the video and link. Like I said it looks really cool and I was sold on it and going to order one this morning. Unfortunately they state that they don't work with heated grips😔 Can't bring myself to give them up but would definitely of ordered one otherwise. Enjoy mate!
Hi Phil yes that is a shame ref the heated grips  it's a shame the wiring can't be routed through the bars on the throttle side so the wiring came out the of the left end if you follow me
look check and look again  then you see the fool

Mick_J

That's how Harley do it, all the wiring is inside the bars.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

Dont like cruise control, on both car and work ute, never been used. Not saying bad, i just dont like.  I use throttle rocker on 14, brilliant device, been on for years, makes life easy, gives fingers a rest. My fast idle on old Ducati was half a clothes peg. infinite adjustment, slipped in between throttle and housing for cold start warm up, which was a while with 5litres of 50w in sump. Would never try as cruise control.

My old Merc has Cruise as have many of my previous vehicles, I always use it, for me it's easier to keep a constant pace & better economy, my Mrs on the other hand is like you Grog, she just will not use it, doesn't even want to have a go at using it.  She just like to 'drive' whatever vehicle it is & I guess she feels she won't be in complete control using cruise, dunno, you are in control though so . . ?
Just shows (again) how we're all different at the same thing, even within the same family.

Just bought a HealTech GIpro ATRE G2 from Mototrack.
Gear indicator is handy, but timing retard feature is what interests me.
I'll go stand out the front and wait for the posty.  :rofl2:
CAUTION - My forum posts may be worth what you paid for them!

You'll love it for both it's uses. Did you buy the mount too?

SFC1000

No didn't worry about the mount, I'll just stick it down.

Remember not to try and do any other form of ignition advancement as you'll double the effect if you use the feature on this too.

This one was too good to pass up.

Silver top 4AGE this time. Same T50 gearbox as the other one but injected where the big port has 2 x 40DCOE Webers. A drag race might be interesting.
