I damaged my coccyx bone a few years back coming home drunk from a New Years party, and it is still not healed properly to this day, so riding my bike becomes uncomfortable after an hour. On e-bay I went and purchased this tourtec seat. Now it's bliss,a 4hr ride to my mate in Cornwall is no problem at all. The other advantage is that it changes the seat height and my legs can straighten out a bit more, has anybody else done this?. Anyway here's a couple of pics of it.

Globalrider

I have one on my bike - wouldn't be without it for the long rides. Its an AIRHAWK I believe they were a spin-off from the medical industry and bedridden patients.
I need to go somewhere I've not been but won't know until I get there!

Kiwifruit

I have an Airhawk but need to spend more time getting used to it. Despite thinking l have let enough air out l still roll around on it. Seems like they next to no air in at all. Some guys swear by them.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Farmhand

Its a fine balance you only need to be about 1mm off the seat, I have one and they can make the difference on a big day out or when touring.

Batkwaka

I have an Airhawk seat cover which I used in 2015 riding across Australia on the K1600. Highly recommended for long distances or hard seats.
May the sun be warm & shining and your roads be smooth & winding.

I've found they work best on a firm,( relative to your weight) base, the std 14 Seat was too soft for my weight and my air hawk just ended up squished up in the mix and of no use, haven't needed to try it on the firm seat I had made yet as it's so bloody comfy on its own

I know sweaty used to have one & swore by it.

Rubber y-fronts & farting would be cheaper?  :whistling:

Never tried inflatable. My custom made is good, sheepskin makes it better for long days.

So air is better than gel.

A combination is fine. You just have to get the measurements right though, just like the front suspension....... :whistling:
