Hello all and greetings from lapland, Finland

I'm born in '85 and I work with automotive (auxiliary) lighting.

I' ve been to motors and bikes from the beginning of the story. When I first gripped the handlebars of the first moped I got the feeling that this something that is going to stick with me all the way :)

I grew up in a farm and I guess it had something to do with that I've always had a thing for enduro and motocross bikes. I've own a Suzuki DR350 and KTM EXC 525 but since parted ways with them for now.

A few years ago i thought of having something more roadworthy and went to check out a DR650. Well DR wasn't bad at all but in the corner there was a Suzuki GSX 750, a bike that I didnt knew at all at the time and took it for a spin.
Of course it felt much more road going bike than single cylinder ones and after a bit of bargaining I bought it. Two summers and 13000km passed happily.

I'm quite tall at 185cm and 750 was starting to feel small in displacement and in driving position. I browsed through options for next bike and thought naked Bandits and something like that until one day I came across that 750 has a bad ass big brother in form of GSX 1400. I was instantly drawn to it as it ticked all the boxes for me.
About a month ago 750 and KTM left in exchange for a K2 GSX 1400.

I have already browsed through this forum a lot as I'm getting to know my ride better and information here has already been very useful! Some plans for the 14 are forming and hopefully there is some time left from snowmobiling in the winter to upgrade and modify the 14 to suit personal preference better.

And lastly the most important thing, a crappy picture of the ride in an off road test that the 14 survived brilliantly :D

Morjens HooCee ja tervetuloa foorumille!
You have nice bike, best colours, but your bike has one weird thing.
Man is from Rovaniemi, the city of ProBoost and you don't have turbo yet!
I have heard a story, that there is one Suzuki in Rovaniemi without turbo,
so it must be yours :whistling:

The older I get the better I was
The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Kiitos T24!

Haha, I guess I'm the black sheep in here  :happy1:

*quietly pulls a blanket over the rumoured NA bike*

This sure is a the place where you might see more force fed bikes in a stroll through town then naturally aspirated ones  :stir:

Or a BMW V8 showed in a self made bike (ProBoost M1). My hat is off to them, talented bunch.

Maybe someday boost will come along but for now I'll be the proud NA anomaly among those turbo bikes whistling around :)

And I really like these colours too! A welcome exception as there sure are a plenty of those single color bikes.

Gidday HooCee, welcome aboard.   The majority of bikes here are NA, :onya: not boosted.  Maybe only 3 or 4 boosted bikes here.   Put some pic's up of your Bike.
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

Welcome along HooCee, nice K2 and nice part of the world. Furthest north in Finland that I've been is Lahti, but I've heard about Rovaniemi.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

HooCee

Kiwicol, bike needs a proper wash before more pictures but I'll try to manage that soon. Just been enjoying the ride on this great machine for about a month now :)

Eric, I do like it here, not a bad corner of the world at all. Rovaniemi is quite different to Lahti but nice to hear that you have visited Finland.

Seems that there are a lot of members from UK. Sadly I haven't been to there yet.

And even more sad is that there seems to be a full akrapovic system for sale on ebay and the seller is from UK. I have tried to contact him via ebay asking if he could ship it if fortune favors me in bidding on it but haven't had a reply yet.

I imagine this is a tall request from a new member but if anyone could somehow help with this I would greatly appreciate it.

Or even the set to be acquired for another member. It would be a shame for nice piece of titanium to go waste.

You must have a 100 profile tyre on your bike to need a main stand modification like that.
