Ok so I haven't got much hair on my head and have reached the stage more on my body ! anyway, my hair stylist is closed and my hair is getting long - my head is the wrong shape for shaving so I looked on line for hair clippers. Sold out on Ebay, Amazon etc but wait ! John Lewis have their own brand reduced by £10 and a 3 year warranty. The box came yesterday right on time.I opened the box and there was a plastic bag with what looked like packaging but it was a pink bathmat ?WTF ?? invoice inside was for my clippers not a bath mat !!!!. An hour on hold, press one, press 3, we value your call and then a human. She sounded like she didn't want to be there, I was very polite until she said they now have no clippers at all in stock and perhaps it was put in as a substitute, so I rub it over my head until my hair is the right length????? I got my money back and I get to keep the bath mat. Went on line and ordered one direct from Phillips so hopefully the package will contain clippers and not a pair of fluffy slippers 11 :bugga:
The older I get the better I was
The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

Could Mrs Notty give you a nice bouffant  comb over.....save ya some coin  :onya:
Failing that the local sheep farmer might be able to put you between his knees and whip off your fleece......might even take the pink bathmat off your hands. :stir:
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Talking of online shopping......any of you in the UK having problems getting `slots` for grocery delivery times like we do?

Okay, what you all need to know is that Sainsburys, (and, we are informed, all the other big supermarkets), post ALL their on-line delivery slots at midnight. This means that at from 00.01am all the new delivery slots are posted. At this point my wife isn`t sure whether this is done every 24 or 48hrs. As a result, if you are quick, you can order an on-line grocery shop after midnight as delivery slots will be available. For those not wishing to be ordering shopping at midnight, there are usually slots left by early morning.

My wife tried this today as soon as she learnt of it, and at 09.00 there were two slots left. Result. We now get a delivery this coming Sunday. Exactly what they`ll be delivering is another matter entirely! If we get your hair clippers Notty, i`ll post them on  :onya:

No delivery spots available from our local Tesco until after the 21st April & Asda nothing until at least the 15th April

Sad thing is they will have been taken mainly by ppl who could if they wanted make it to the store to queue with the rest of us, while the less mobile and elder community are struggling to put a meal on the table in some cases  :furious:
