Checked my TPS today an it was at 1386.
My question is about the Tamper proof screws on the TPS cover.
Do people buy the tool to remove them or just "butcher" them out and replace with something normal. Thanks

There are so many things with these tamperproof screws that I bought a boxset of screwdriver tips which has just about every type of screwhead in it from fleabay a while back and it's proved to be quite useful.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

I did mine yesterday, where the top screw goes, the plastic bit was already cracked, I decided I would extend the adjustment travel with the dremel, I did the metal inserts a couple of times, while doing the top one it flew out and went God knows where.
The good news is I got the idle setting right on 1100 ohms. As per so many others around here, full throttle was only around 2700 ohms.
I got the screws out with a standard torque bit but decided to use phillips screws to do it all up, I couldn't tighten the top one much as the cracked plastic eye wouldn't take much so I put a dab of blue loctite on the top one and screwed the bottom one it nice n firm.
I thought about buying a new TPS, you're kidding Suzuki with that price, I would have though $30 was a rip off let alone $250ish. So my busted arse one will have to do.
I reckon it'll be ok.

A set of tamper proof torx bits is a must have, esp given the cost of a new tps.  These sets are cheap.  I just wish I had a T27 bit, not common on the 1402, but common on euro cars. My set has T25 then T30. Don't know why they skip on T27.
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

I bodged mine out & then bought the correct drivers months later...

Here are two links to cheaper sources for TPS.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/323716243999 Delivery might be cheaper to Australia than the second link.

https://www.kfm-motorraeder.de/cms/en/genuine-spare-parts/suzuki-spare-parts?itemid=1358026F00000 Delivery cost to Australia is ridiculous due to being a flat fee. Item cost is cheaper than first link though.
