Have always stood by standard levers as very good, why change. Well, today went for spin on mates MT10, has fitted dog leg mini levers to it. Riding home on mine, my levers all of a sudden felt not as good. I guess old dogs can change their fleas. My question, any recos i should look at purchasing. I just saw Pazzos, far too expensive for me. Are the chinese $50 jobs any good? All thoughts appreciated.

Grog I've tried both, PAZZO's are expensive however there is a difference in that feel you just experienced . Compare a Repco spanner to a Snap-on  :onya:

I have the Chinese shorty levers on now Grog & like them. These replaced the Chinese long levers I had on before them which lasted 2 years or more till the black colour started fading.
For $40-$50 I say give them a go. Even if it is to decide if you like the short levers or not. You can always upgrade later when you know what you like.
They have worked fine for me over the years & have found them very comfortable. I always have the originals to fall back on if needed.

I brought some Chinese longs as a backup, as Snapey had done years ago.  Thought may as well see how they fit n feel, even if they're just as a backup set.  Fitted up, felt good & smooth so left them on. Adjustment is easy on the move too, just move the adjuster lever. Now the originals are bagged up & under the seat as backups.  Yep, I'd recommend them, don't think I had to pay $50 for them though, will check.

Main thing is which colour you'd like.

Here ya go, Cost is about NZD$30.00   (USD$19.31)  for longs, shorts slightly cheaper.

I've run CRG PAZZO and Chinese ones and to be honest over time i haven't found much difference in them. The play in the linkages has all be comparable. The anodizing has been much the same (crg might have been a little better there).
I used to run shorties and liked them but i have now gone back to the longer cnc jobies (probably still a bit shorter than the oem stuff though) I run a heavier clutch than i used to and a different brake set up and just find it a nicer feel especial with my meat hooks.
But at the end of the day it is a lever, our most basic machine, not alot to screw up there as long as long as your not buying absolute shite..
Still on the 14

I had Pazzo on my 14 and they were great. On my Triumph I now have Bad Dog levers which are just as good but over half the price.
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

I have Daves Pazzo's on mine - love them  :)
The older I get the better I was
The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

The ones on Notty's are my old levers - must say I didn't notice any difference when they were fitted to my 14

I've had both long and shorty levers on mine..Chinesium, but good quality for the money and no problems with the Anodised coating fading.
The shorties worked better when I fitted bar end mirrors as the longer ones fouled the mirror mounts.
Assumption is the mother of all fuck ups!

grog

Froudy, think you have bar ends turned in. Did they hit mirror heads or bracket they mount on? If they hit brackets i will need shorties. Longs are 170mm, never measured originals. Thanks Mate.
