Hi Mark,
my philosophy is Insurance is like placing a covering bet, if I can save £50 a year that mounts up and I win, If I make a claim I may lose but play the percentage game  :onya:
so cheapest everytime for me

Me as well cheapest every time, only had 1 claim so far about 5 years ago when some dozy bint pulled across me on a roundabout and she had to pay for that.

I used to have that attitude to insurance then i had a brand new husqvarna on rd dirt bike stolen few years ago lucky i had fully comp with a good company they paid for another brand new bike .then unfortunatley i had a crash 5weeks after i got the new replacement my own fault . low and behold the insurance bought me another brand new husqvana could not belive my luck so now i all ways think what if

I learned painfully if a brand new vehicle is stolen inside first 12 months you get full value!
I had a warrior pick up stolen at 13 months and lost £7k!!! Would have been cheaper to rent one for a Year!

Insurance companies make money by not paying out..... I wrecked my trailer recently. They valued it at $500. I made a song and dance about it and demanded to see the valuation. The valuation said a 6x4 trailer.... mine was 9x5. They have many ways to shorten up their payout. I finally got $1200.
Insurance is a  thing we all need.
But it just feels like we are being rorted !!
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

A good few years go I wrote off my A class, the insurance said no problem and offered me £5k.  I threw a shitty with them and asked to see how they came to that figure so they sent me a breakdown.  A short wheelbase classic manual valued at £5k, mine was a long wheelbase Avantguard auto.  They stumped up £6750.  It's always a good idea to check on these twats.
