Accidentally filled old girl with 94 E10 yesterday. Sure can feel dulled performance. I now have what feels like a 1200 until gone. Never thought fuel could make such a difference.

KiwiCol

Maaate, ya wanna try diesel in it & see how she goes, I know others have . . .
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

grog

Col, will empty it out quick this week. Give it a tank of 98.

Grog if it was going like my 1200S you wouldn't be complaining.

steve porter

Suck it out and chuck it in something else

Hooli

E10 is shite. If I ever have to use it (as can't find proper petrol when touring europe) my 14 is so slow & thirsty on it it actually costs more as MPG drops so far.

GSXKING

I agree. Tip it out asap mate. it will do more damage than you could ever expect.

Best allrounder I've ever owned 👍

Hooli

It's never damaged mine, just use it & don't make the same mistake again.

grog

Used most of it up today. Rest will be gone soon. A nice tank of 98 coming up. By pure chance, had v6 Jeep at work today. Last week, no probs before, he filled with e10. It started missing. We sent injectors out this morn for a clean. Two of them are stuffed. Coincidence, no idea.

It probably wasn't the E10 but the octane level. I have run 100 E10 in the past without a problem.

The ethanol percent makes effect to AFR. More ethanol => leaner AFR, but the difference is small.
Engine will work perfect if it's adjusted to that fuel.
The fuel itself isn't shit.

DP1400

Golden rules - buy the high octane quality petrol, not the supermarket cr4p, and always try to use a busy garage where the turnover is high. You don`t want to be re-fuelling with stuff thats already weeks old!

Snapey

I used E10 (94 octane) for years & put maybe 60,000kms on the engine with no ill effect that I know of. I now use 91 ULP because of the E10 bad press and that I don't Know but certain garages don't carry 91 ULP so E10 it is.  No 95 or 98 for me.
If you look like your passport photo then you're too sick to travel.

Sweaty

I only run 95 (or 98 when not available) which is a good thing for you Pete. It saves me asking you to help fix it if E10/91 stuffs it up  ;)
