Always between the 14 and 16 km's per ltr. Once reached 17 on a long trip ( for dutch riders ) of 350km with average speed of 120kmh. Going to fit pc one of these days but don not expect any big differences in fuel consumption.

A drive of 300km with various speeds is usually a refill of 18.5 to 21.0 liters .

Yes. I have a full system, but it has a PC111 and a pretty good map.
Before I "enlarged" the neck a stock full tank would take me North to Childers / 307K's at legalish mixed speeds.

How old is yours Suzuki boi?

I ask as my K2 got new wheel bearings earlier this year. They'd felt fine right up to getting a rear tyre fitted, but it turned out the fronts where rusty as I did them too. I've regained the normal (for me 42-48mpg depending how I ride) rather than the 35-44mpg It'd been doing recently. Feels 'freer' & quicker to ride too.

Just because I could I took a very leisurely ride down to Minehead and Porlock yesterday, then I went through Taunton and back to Bridgwater where I filled up, I was mostly sticking to the speed limits and was on single and dual carriageways.  I put 8.4 ltrs in and had covered 105.6 miles which equates to 57 miles to the gallon.  Not as good as my Beemer which would have done it in about 7ltrs but I'm very happy with that.

that's way more thrifty than I get Mick, but I'm not known to be riding 'very leisurely'   I get too bored, may as well be in me car.

Nope, you've lost me with that...

I'm getting around 45mpg and that's thrashing it on the motorway all the time..Far more than I get from my 1200 Bandit with a Stage 1 tune.

So by comparison..The 1400 isn't thirsty at all.

Highway cruising at around 110km/h gets me just south of 6L/100km,  I probably average 7.5L/100km on a day to day basis with a mix of commuting and shenanigans..  :boogie2:

Never had it that high before but I just wanted to see what it would do if I was not in a hurry, and it was a bit too cold and damp to be pushing things.

Nice Mick, it is good to know what it'll stretch out to if the need arose.

So I tried a leisurely commute yesterday and today.
Sticking to 100kmh-120kmh
Only managed 6.6 l/100km.
So don't think it's my right hand.

DP1400

I`ll get 180-200 miles to the tankful, mixed riding, two-up, on my K3....thank goodness for the huge tank!

VladTepes

Well I haven;t done the maths lately but lately I've been commuting only and getting around 260 kms to a tank.
(however much a tank holds, I usually top it off)

The last time I measured was some commuting but mostly a saturday leisurely ride.
280kms, 14.11 litres which if my maths is right is  5.02 l / 100kms.
IF that's right it'd be the best economy I've ever seen.

This questions does  come up rather a lot so I might put together a spreadsheet if people are willing to contribute, just for the heck of it.

Fields might include
fuelling - stock or PC
exhaust: stock, full delkevic, full akro, akro slip on, etc
riding type (% commuting, % recreational )
rising style - aggressive, normal, leisurely.
kms litres

Then I could get the spreadsheet to spit out l/100kms and mpg etc. Plus people could sort buy the set up they have to compare similar bikes with their own.

Thoughts?

I've had one of those since I had the bike, yep, I like them, shows up heavy usage / short range straight away, which could be an indicator somethings not quite right. You also can compare usage over a long period & see if things are staying the same, getting better or getting worse.
