OUCH that is gonna take some time to heal too. Can't imagine lying on your back in bed for a while.  :whatever:

You POMS make me laugh talking about SUMMER riding and needing mesh

It got up to 33 degrees this year. Maybe not quite up there with Oz, but plenty warm enough for mesh.

That's got to smart some.  When I see pics like that I'm glad I don't ride without proper kit on these days, I have ridden in crap/inappropriate gear before but never again.  Luckily for me I've never had a crash where protective gear would have made any difference, and I don't want to start.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

Today at Aldi again, looking for right size jacket. Noticed they have Merino wool mid layer for under jacket. Basically a jumper. It says on tag, warm in winter, cools you in summer. So all you SE Qld people, middle of our summer, just put a jumper under your jacket. Can see you blokes running out to do that. 35 degrees, 90% humidity and i grab my Merino jumper. No need for mesh, just use a jumper. Seems a great idea.  :rofl2:

Conversely this "Pom" wears only a T shirt even in mid winter at a temp that's below what our Oz cousins think is cold !!
Horses for courses.

Those damn convicts have it easy in their open air jail.

i always use ATGATT. Got a the Sibirsky suit and since then i always wear it.
When is hot i remove the layer and transform the jacket in to a mesh one. And that does the job.
It's price is very decent for what you get, in case you worry about that.
There are no excuses for not wearing gear guys. Always wear your gear.

You sent us here ya silly sods.

Anyone with sense would have moved the establishment to Australia and left the old country to the French to use as THEIR prison colony.
Ottomans: 'Hippity hoppity, Vienna's our property"
...and then the Winged Hussars arrived.

Not appropriate for this forum, but the photo was doing the rounds on Farcebook recently. I quickly realised along with others that this probably summed the rider up for the lack of protective gear .....

Admins please remove if necessary :onya:

Edit by Andre: Put a link up but not this picture in this forum ;)

There's more nasties here these days than a handful of shipped convicts from the early settler days.

I presume they must all work nightshift, because they all congregate during the day when I'm at work (on day shift) wearing better clothes than I can afford.
And Cash Converters in the suburb most of them live in do a roaring trade.

Back on topic: I always wear a jacket when riding.
Especially as I just bought the one that was stolen back, from Cash Converters. :frustrated:

The initial attraction to motorcycling inflicts people for various reasons and at different stages in their lives. But once someone experiences the elation of riding a motorcycle there's no denying the nearly spiritual effect it has.
