Not sure I understand why the cops wouldn't fingerprint the knife. Because they were wearing hoodies and masks? I don't see what difference that makes.

Besides wearing hoodies and masks they also wore gloves. Still they should have checked for fingerprints. Might have  found some. I discovered a break-in at work. One of the burglars left a cigarette which he tread on into the carpet. Police took DNA and were able to identify the criminal through this.

Aussie movies are normally low budget. Sometimes funny, sometimes cringeworthy,  sometimes moving. Rarely done Hollywood big budget style. I'm a big fan and was before I moved here.

Red Dog.

Razorback.

Muriel's Wedding.

Getting Square.

The Castle.

Picnic at Hanging Rock.

Rabbit Proof Fence.

Japanese Story.

A good NZ movie done along the same lines is "Good bye Pork Pie".

Older Aussie movies are a bit of an acquired taste but don't expect Starwars or Gone with the Wind !
