My 14 (Black K7/K8) Full system, PC111, is insured for a documented and confirmed AU$5000.  I'm happy with that.
Not sure what it costs, I pay a bit over $2000 for multiple bikes.

Thanks Tony. I will try them and see how far I go.

If you think yours is above what they think tell them. They seem open to variations.

Also try Swann insurance.
https://www.swanninsurance.com.au/home/

It seems that the quote for an $8K agreed value is going to be accepted by Swann and QBE is going to loose an 11 years loyal client?
See you later alligator... :hat:

It's a shame that's how it goes these days, being a long time customer counts for nothing. We become just a number & a cash cow.  Quite often a brand new customer will get a better deal than one who'd been loyal for years.
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

Unfortunately it's all about hitting stupid targets, salespersons (very PC) are tasked with getting new customers so give them a better deal to come over to their company, they are not tasked with keeping loyal customers so no one tries.  You would think that a known good customer with no claims would be a safeer bet.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

Different product same problem.
Spark (telecom) is offering free Rugby World Cup coverage to new customers signing up for an unlimited broadband package.
We have unlimited broadband plans on rwo mobiles and our landline......l rang and they said only for new customers.
This week l hope to be another providers new customer......arseholes !!
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

jribeiro your QBE experience is different to mine which was as below

QBE & bike value.

"Agreed value" is only agreed for one year apparently, then they decide what its worth as 'agreed' for the next year.

On renewal QBE dropped my "agreed value" by well over $1000. Apparently they think I could replace my bike as it stands for $6K. They are wrong.

Anyway I rang them up and told them they were wrong, and had a discussion about 'red book' values not reflecting actual market prices.
They asked how much I wanted to insure for, and let me go to $8,000.  Premium difference was only $25 / year.

What year is yours? I assume must be same as mine - K7?
I'm 49 years old with a mixed crash history - I'm sure my premium will rise this year...
Rider age and history should only affect premium though, not insured value.
Mine has more kms on that yours too ~ 120K

I just play QBE against Youi. Never tried Swann. $262 this year but im very old, maybe makes the diff. I also hate when new to service get more than loyal customers. Foxtel ive had 15 yrs, while back i rang, paying $20 more than new sign ups, i just kept at them, reduced price by $24, got Full HD, couple of useless channels. Yeah, was some make believe anger involved in calls. Happy with result.

VladTepes

OK well I paid my QBE premium (the amount they sent me a reminder for via SMS)
Get a call a few days later to say I haven't paid enough.
Long story short(er) they say they sent last years amount to me (by mistake) and I have to pay an EXYTRA $52.
Yep premium risen from $250ish to $300 ish in one year. What bullshit.

When I said so and that I'd shop around, they said "if we apply a condition at any rider must be over 30 years old) its a good saving. Yeah sure fine by me.
QBE sheila "Oh I've tried that but it doesn't come down any more. Maybe you already had it., I can't tell"
(Quality eh ::)

Anyway I had the pay the difference to ensure insurance remains current, but am now looking around for options.

Want: Reasonable agreed value (say $8.5K), half decent premiums. and allowed as daily commuter.

Youi? Swann? Shannons?

Swann insurance, K3 1400 with  non standard exhaust,  'bars and other minor mods. I.e i am open and honest with them. 5500 agreed value every year.

Ive got a pretty good history to date (as in no crashes or claims).

Renewal came in at 298. I did the online quote thing for the same and i came up 50 bucks less.rang up to query, only difference is the NCB protection.

They honoured the on line quote so renewed for 248.  Thats pretty good in my books.

Youi is too expensive, same as Shannons.  AAMI is ok but they  dont know bikes, the others????
I try to take one day at a time, however sometimes several days catch up with me at once.

Sweaty

Swann. K6 market value with $1500 riding gear cover.
Only went up $2 this year too $304.

VladTepes

Maybe I was getting away with it really well last year then, and $300 for that agreed value isn't unreasonable...
