For the help and advice I  had on here about the 14. I sold the bike on Saturday and it has gone darn Sarf, in deepest Essex.
I'm sure the new owner will enjoy it as much as I did despite only doing about 1100 miles in two years. I did mention the forum to him, so there might be a new member soon.
Cheers chaps  (and chapesses.)  :hat:
Back to the two strokes now - all five of 'em - but at least they're all Suzukis.
Currently prefer two strokes, but they're Suzukis, so I ain't all bad.

The favourite of my strokes Alan I love riding this thing brings me back to my youth only problem is it's still in Oz.

Have you posted pictures of your fleet, if not can you?  I have a soft spot for strokers but prices are getting stupid now but I would like to own a GT500.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

Nice bike there. Never had a Yam, always did Hondas and Suzukis, Japwise.

Well, I don't have the 'big 'un' now, but I will pop in from time to time, as there are some good discussions here.

Well, here's before & after (GSX) pics - kept the Santa Fé V6 out of it though!!
The two GT550s are having engine work done - the black one's crank decided to throw the towel in, and during the rebuild of the gold one (with the 4LS front brake) I found the crank on that was 'less than optimal' so that's getting done as well. Currently the engine builder/crank repairer is at the Classic TT, so it's a waiting game at the mo'.

I had a GT 250m ram air, then a GT250a in the 70's and finally I had a kettle in the 80's as well as a couple of singles in between.  The GT550 was one of the best sounding bikes, ever.  It's a shame the stroker has been relegated to history.

I had a Yamaha V90 in 1971 - seemed to remember always using caustic soda to de-coke the exhaust ?  :smile2:
The older I get the better I was
The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

Notty the two stroke oil today burns far cleaner and the Valvoline Racing oil has that smell of vegetable oil.

2 strokes, loved them. BSA Bantam first. 1968 gt 250 hustler, 550 gt, 4 of 750 gt. Mach 3 kawa. Bultaco trail bike. L model 750 was ported, expansion chambers, Kawa had 550 Suzi pistons, ported, expansions. Was a death machine. Very fast.
